Due to circumstances beyond the contractor’s control, the completion of the Edithburgh Dive Stairs has been delayed.
During pile-driving works, unexpected ground conditions were encountered, and additional testing is now required to confirm conformance with the design and identify any next steps.
Works will recommence on 17 December. Until then the jetty remains open to the public.
We appreciate the community’s patience as this important project progresses. Once complete, the upgraded dive stairs will significantly enhance safety and accessibility for divers and snorkellers, while also supporting local tourism.

Council’s online payment gateway is currently unavailable. We are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it as soon as possible.

• Phone payments – process payments over the phone as usual
• In-person payments – visit any Council office to make a payment
• Direct payment portal – manually enter your reference number (rates assessment number or debtor number) and the amount you wish to pay via BPoint:
