Yorke Peninsula Council proposes to apply to the Minister for Industrial Relations under Section 12 of the Shop Trading Hours Act 1977 for the abolition of the following proclaimed Shopping Districts Minlaton and Yorke Peninsula.
That Minlaton and Yorke Peninsula Proclaimed Shopping Districts encompass the following towns:
Minlaton, Brentwood, Ardrossan, Balgowan, Dowlingville, Kilkerran, Maitland, Muloowurtie, Port Clinton, Port Victoria, Price, Sandilands, South Kilkerran and Urania.
This proposal, if accepted by the Minister, will remove regulation of shop trading hours in the relevant areas.
The Council seeks the views of the following persons on this proposal:
- Persons resident in the area of the Council; and
- Shopkeepers and shop assistants resident outside the area of the Council, but employed or engaged in shops within it.
