Barunga West, Copper Coast and Yorke Peninsula Councils, as part of the Yorke Peninsula Regional Alliance, are pleased to invite community feedback on the Draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2026–2030.
In early 2024, the Alliance engaged Adelaide-based consultancy URPS to assist in developing this second regional DAIP. Early engagement took place between September and November 2024, focusing on the review of the existing 2020–2025 Plan. Community input during that period has been instrumental in shaping this new draft.
The Draft DAIP aligns with the State Disability Inclusion Plan 2025–2029 and has been guided by the DAIP Guidelines, as well as key community themes identified through previous consultation. It sets out practical actions to improve inclusion and accessibility across the region, structured around five domains:
- Inclusive environments and communities
- Education and employment
- Personal and community support
- Health and wellbeing
- Safety, rights and justice
We are now seeking your feedback to ensure the plan reflects the needs, aspirations, and priorities of our community.
Consultation Period:
🗓️ Opens: Thursday, 13 November 2025
⏰ Closes: 5:00 pm, Tuesday, 23 December 2025
The Draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2026–2030 is available here.
