Barunga West, Copper Coast and Yorke Peninsula Councils are working together to review the Yorke Peninsula Region Public Health Plan.
The updated plan will guide how the three Councils support and promote public health across the region over the next five years.
Public health is about creating healthy, safe and connected communities. It includes promoting physical and mental wellbeing, preventing illness and protecting people from environmental health risks.
Councils play an important role in supporting public health through the provision of:
- Open spaces, parks and reserves
- Sport and recreation facilities
- Community facilities
- Events, programs and activities that support wellbeing
- Environmental health services
Community feedback is now being sought to help shape the draft Public Health Plan.
The survey asks residents what matters most to them about public health in their community and what they would like Councils to focus on in the future.
Your feedback will help identify priorities and actions that will support the health and wellbeing of our region for years to come.
Survey closes at 5pm on Tuesday, 16 June 2026.
