IMPORTANT NOTICE: Yorke Peninsula Council wishes to advise the Australia Day Celebration scheduled for Monday, 26 January at the Minlaton District Community and Sports Centre has been postponed due to the extreme heat forecast.
Council has made the difficult decision to postpone the event to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone who planned to attend. Please take care during the high heat this Australia Day long weekend by staying hydrated, avoiding outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day, seeking shade or air-conditioning where possible, and checking in on family, friends and neighbours. Council will provide an update about the award presentations for Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Community Event of the Year and Award for Active Citizenship in the near future.
