Yorke Peninsula Council has formed a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Party to advance reconciliation and is now seeking to form a RAP Advisory Group as a way to facilitate ongoing input from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders on matters including:
- Embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into operations
- Locally appropriate reconciliation initiatives, concerns and priorities
- Policy, programs, services and consultation strategies
- Ensuring better access and engagement for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, clients and community members
- Provide feedback on Council’s progress in implementing the RAP.
