Excitement is building as YorKON Games Convention returns in less than a month.
This year’s event will see an expansion of arcade gaming, thanks to the use of the additional space within the Minlaton Town Hall.
This additional space will house AVCon and their equipment, allowing for a larger and more immersive gaming experience for attendees of all ages.
YorKON continues to grow in popularity, with several new exhibitors and contributors coming on board in 2026 to showcase their products, services, and creative talents.
Community Development and Engagement Officer Sonny Coombs said the event continues to evolve each year.
“YorKON has really built strong momentum, and it’s exciting to see how much it continues to grow,” Mr Coombs said.
“The expansion of the arcade space is a huge addition this year.
“Being able to work with AVCon and utilise the additional space means we can offer an even better experience for attendees.”

Mr Coombs said the event’s growth is also reflected in the diversity of participants.
“We’ve had a number of new people jump on board this year, which is fantastic,” he said,
“It means there’s always something new for people to see and experience.”
“YorKON is all about celebrating pop culture, creativity, and community, and this year’s event is shaping up to be one of the best yet.”
Tickets are free, and all games and activities are included at no cost.
Attendees are encouraged to support Minlaton’s local cafés, bakeries and takeaway businesses during their visit.
