Yorke Peninsula Council invites local businesses to apply for grants of up to $5,000 through its Business Enhancement Program, which is now open.
Mayor Darren Braund said Council recognises the vital role local businesses play in driving economic prosperity and opportunities across Yorke Peninsula.
“Our Business Enhancement Program is all about giving businesses the support to grow and thrive,” Mr Braund said.
“With grant funding open, this is the perfect time for business owners to apply and access financial support to help take their business to the next level.
“Grant funding is available on a matched basis, with businesses required to contribute 50 per cent toward their project.”
One local business that has already benefited from the program is Neptune’s Surf Coaching, based at Corny Point.
Owner and operator Max Tooze said the support provided through the Business Enhancement Program has been invaluable.
“With the funding we received, we were able to invest in a custom-built aluminium trailer to transport and store essential surf equipment, including boards, rashies, and safety gear,” Mr Tooze said.
“This upgrade has streamlined our operations, improved efficiency, and allowed us to better serve our customers.
“Additionally, the program enabled us to purchase new surfboards, ensuring our students have access to high-quality equipment that enhances their learning experience.”
Mr Tooze encouraged other local businesses to take advantage of the opportunity.
“For any local business looking to grow, improve operations, or invest in essential infrastructure, I highly recommend applying for this program,” he said.
“The support from the Yorke Peninsula Council not only provides a financial boost but also fosters innovation and business sustainability in our region.
“This initiative is a fantastic opportunity to take your business to the next level — don’t hesitate to apply.”
