Yorke Peninsula Council advises that works to remove sea wrack at the Ardrossan boat ramp will commence today, Friday 6 February, and continue through next week.
Council would like to inform the community that this has been a complex process.
Following significant work and collaboration between Council staff, contractors and the Environment Protection Authority (EPA), the necessary approvals have now been received to allow the safe removal of the sea wrack build-up.
The removed sea wrack will be transported to the former evaporation ponds located just outside Ardrossan, where it will be temporarily stockpiled to dry.
The boat ramp will remain open during the works, with one side accessible at all times.
Council thanks the community for their patience and understanding while these works are carried out.
