The state government will hold an Algal Bloom Community Forum at Corny Point Memorial Hall on the Yorke Peninsula on Thursday 29 January from 6-7.30pm.
Minister for Climate, Environment and Water Lucy Hood will attend the forum along with senior government officials, including South Australian Research and Development Institute Executive Director Mike Steer.
The forum will provide residents and businesses with an update on the latest algal bloom conditions and testing results on Yorke Peninsula and other parts of South Australia.
It will also allow people to stay informed about the algal bloom response and recovery efforts, including the state and federal government’ $102.5 million Algal Bloom Summer Plan, latest science, public health advice, and support measures for affected communities and industries.
Forum attendees will be able to share feedback and ask questions to Minister Hood and government experts.
The forum is free to attend but people will need to register at https://bit.ly/corny-point-forum.
