Nominations for the Supplementary Election – Mayor will open on Thursday, 24 July 2025, and close at 12 noon on Thursday, 7 August 2025.

To assist those considering nominating, Council will host an in-person candidate briefing session at:

8 Elizabeth Street, Maitland

This session is a valuable opportunity to learn more about the nomination process, eligibility criteria, and the responsibilities of the mayoral role.
