On behalf of the Yorke Peninsula Council, Downer EDI Works are continuing the pavement improvement works on North Coast Road. The work zone extends 3.7km on the remaining unsealed section between Point Souttar and Point Turton. In addition to the junction upgrade at Point Souttar. There are also plant and machinery movements occurring around the material stockpile area at Point Souttar. There will be road closures during the project, and times that vehicle access to your property may be restricted. Detours will be put in place and travel delays within the area may occur.

Workdays

Downer crews working on the stabilisation on Monday 19 March, with work over the weekend till the completion of the current critical stage of the works. This schedule ensures the most productive work can be completed in the shortest possible time, achieving the overall finish date earlier and reducing the time it takes for work to impact residents.

• Work will occur between 7am – 6pm on scheduled weekdays
• Work will commence at 8am on Saturday and Sunday
• Work shall stop during Public Holidays

We ask that all residents, drivers and pedestrians adhere to traffic control signage and road closure direction.

Please remain alert and exercise care and caution when travelling across and through the road works during this period. Speed restrictions will apply, and road users are asked to use extra caution when workers are on site.

Access to properties will be maintained during the works wherever practical, with advance notice provided if temporary restrictions on driveway access are required.

Road closures will apply to Local access only for the following roads:

1. Strictly Local access only for the residents between North Coast Road Between Point Souttar and Point Turton as below
   1. Local Access only for the properties between Point Turton and West Cowie Rd by West Cowie Road
   2. Local Access Only for the properties between Point Souttar and West Cowie Road Through Diagonal Road
2. Hard closure with no access applies:
   1. Point Souttar Junction (The work zone)
   2. North Coast Road between West Cowie Road and 500M south of Diagonal Road (The work zone)

Some noise disturbance can be expected at times while the works are completed, however, every effort will be made to minimise disturbance to local residents and businesses as much as practically possible.
