A supplementary election will be held to fill a vacancy in the Innes/Penton Vale Ward, following the election of Councillor Kylie Leanne Gray to the office of Mayor.
Pursuant to section 6 of the Local Government (Elections) Act 1999, this supplementary election will be conducted to fill the vacancy.
At the close of nominations, two nominations were received and accepted for the above-mentioned position. In accordance with section 29(3) of the Local Government (Elections) Act 1999, a draw was held after the close of nominations to determine the order in which the names of candidates will appear on the ballot paper, and the result of the draw was as follows:
- GLAZBROOK, William
- DINHAM, Phil
Voting material will be forwarded to electors by post between Tuesday 13 January 2026 and Monday 19 January 2026. To be accepted, ballot papers must be completed and returned to reach the Returning Officer by Monday 9 February 2026.

To assist those considering nominating, Council will host an in-person candidate briefing session at 5.30pm on Tuesday, 25 November at the Minlaton Council Chamber (Minlaton Town Hall) – 57 Main Street, Minlaton.
This session is a valuable opportunity to learn more about the nomination process, eligibility criteria, and the responsibilities of an Elected Member.

Council Supplementary Roll
If you are not enrolled on the state electoral roll, you may still be eligible to register on the council supplementary roll if you are:
- A resident or a non-Australian citizen who has lived at your residential address for one month or more
- An owner of an organisation or business
- An owner of a holiday home
- A sole owner, or group of owners, of a rateable property
- A sole occupier, or group of occupiers, of a rateable property
- A landlord of rateable property
In accordance with section 15(5a) of the Local Government (Elections) Act 1999, Council must purge the council supplementary roll on 1 January of every election year.
This means that all landlords, organisations, business owners or occupiers, and resident non-Australian citizens must re-enrol from 1 January of every election year to be eligible to vote — with the exception of the City of Adelaide.
