|Position title||Senior WHS Advisor|

Ensuring Council’s Work Health Safety (WHS) management systems are implemented and maintained in accordance with the Performance Standards for Self-Insurers. The incumbent will act as a safety champion to identify, implement and review strategies and opportunities for improvement in addition to providing advice, support and coaching to staff and management to meet their safety responsibilities. This role acts as an integral member of the People and Culture team, working to support a healthy and safe workplace and provide quality reporting on various WHS activities.
|Hours||80 hour fortnight - 76 hours plus 4 hours that are accrued for Rostered Days Off (some out of hours work may required).|

To be successful in this role, you will have a solid working knowledge of WHS legislation and the ability to develop, implement and review WHS systems gained through experience in a similar role. Tertiary qualifications in Work Health Safety is highly desirable.
General Officer Level 4 – starting at $72,246 to $77,282 p.a. Statutory superannuation is also payable on this amount. (Rates are in accordance with the Yorke Peninsula Council Municipal Officers Enterprise Agreement No 4, 2016).
A compulsory pre-employment medical examination must be undertaken.
Maitland Office, however appointment is to the Council, therefore the successful applicant may be required to undertake duties at other locations.
