Under the Heavy Vehicle National Law, Restricted Access Vehicles (RAVs) require specific authority to operate on the road network. Applications must be lodged through the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR). (link to NHVR)
To assist operators when lodging applications to the NHVR for 30m Road Train operations on Council roads an online map has been developed.
The link below shows an online map that displays the following:
Road segments where consent is granted for access by 30m Road Trains
Road segments where consent is not granted for access by 30m Road Trains
Road segments where partial consent may be given for access by 30m Road Trains
Rural roads not assessed
By clicking on a road segment, information on the above consent status will be displayed.
