Water is available for purchase from the Marion Bay Desalination Plant.
Access swipe cards are available from the Marion Bay Caravan Park managers office for a once-off fee of $10.00.
Salt water is supplied to the plant via a 15 metre bore approximately 10 metres above the high tide mark.
The Desalination Plant outlet is under the Marion Bay Jetty, the water disperses back into the sea without harm to the environment. The use of desalinated water improves the quality of water supplies to the Marion Bay Caravan Park, businesses, residents and visitors to the area.
It will reduce maintenance costs associated with bore water for locals and the cost involved with trucking water from mains supplies in other townships and it allows for rejuvenation of the water basin.
Recently solar panels have been added to this site to help reduce the running costs of this plant.
For water fees please refer to our Fees and Charges Register.
