Update RE: the proposed closure of Council's Warooka office and change of hours for the Minlaton office. Public consultation feedback was presented to the 11 April 2018 Council meeting. However, Elected Members agreed to adjourn these items until the 9 May 2018 meeting. Refer to the Council resolution.
The Peninsula has a wide variety of schools and educational facilities for all ages of children including pre-school. Local schools are listed here.
The Council and local communities with support from the Libraries of South Australia provide four main libraries on the Peninsula and eight ancillary depot library locations.
The Council supports the Yorke Peninsula Community Transport organisation. Yorke Peninsula Community Transport Incorporated is a non-profit community-based organisation helping approximately 3000 clients to destinations throughout the beautiful Yorke Peninsula – and beyond.
