Council’s waste, recycling and garden organics collections are managed by Veolia Recycling & Recovery.

Bins are collected as follows:

• red-lidded waste bin – collected weekly
• yellow-lidded recycling bin – collected fortnightly
• green-lidded garden organics bin – collected monthly

Different council areas have their bins collected on different days. To find out the collection days for your area download Residential Kerbside Collection Calendar below or collect a copy from any council offices.

• IS125 Residential Kerbside Collection Calendar 2026-27 (NEW) (comes into effect July 1 2026)

To ensure bins are ready to be collected residents are encouraged to place them out the night before the scheduled collection day.

 

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR DELAYED PICK UP AND OTHER PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
There is no bin pick up on:
• Christmas Day Fri 25 Dec 2026
• New Year’s Day Fri 1 Jan 2027
• Good Friday 26 Mar 2027
Collection will be the following day.
All other collection days falling on a public holiday remain the same.
