The SA Country Fire Service (CFS) is a volunteer-based fire and emergency service for outer-metropolitan, regional and rural communities of South Australia.
The CFS is the primary provider of bushfire firefighting services across the state, and also responds to:
- structure and motor vehicle fires
- road crash rescue
- hazardous material spills.
In most cases, the CFS is the control agency for the state’s emergency services response for:
- rural fires
- hazardous or dangerous materials emergencies.
