The Edithburgh boat ramp car park will be partially closed to the public on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 14 and 15 for remedial works in preparation for a full reseal next year.
Council staff will work the eastern half of the boat ramp car park on November 14 followed by the western half the following day, weather permitting.
Please note there will be restricted access during this time.
Money expert Julie Allerton shared the essentials of business finances, and tips on how to manage and cut costs, in Yorketown on Tuesday, October 24.
About 25 people representing 20 businesses, covering tourism, agriculture, trades, accommodation, the service industry and more, registered for the free Money Matters workshop at SYP Community Hub.
Julie discussed common bookkeeping tools such as Myob and Xero, and how to interpret and learn from financial reports such as the balance sheet and profit-loss statements.
She also discussed cashflow management, strategies for managing expenses and bills, and the importance of setting an annual budget.
Participants received extensive take-home notes, checklists for improving cashflow, a draft budgeting tool and invitations for further tailored support.
Yorke Peninsula Council organised the event, with support from the Adelaide Business Hub and Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North.
“Council has now run several workshops and other initiatives as part of our growing commitment to supporting local businesses,” Mayor Darren Braund said.
“We understand that with rising cost pressures, managing finances and finding efficiencies to save money is of great importance to the success of our businesspeople.

Registrations are now open for Yorke Peninsula Council’s Garage Sale Trail event, the perfect opportunity to sell unwanted items, pick up a few bargains, and help the environment.
The Garage Sale Trail 2023 will take place over two weekends, 11-12 and 18-19 November.
Yorke Peninsula Council has again brought the Garage Sale Trail to the region, encouraging residents to sell, shop and learn about recycling and the circular economy.
Mayor Darren Braund said selling or shopping at garage sales is a fun and simple action to reduce our carbon footprint.
“Garage Sale Trail helps neighbours connect, make some money and keep their good stuff out of landfill,” Mr Braund said.
“With free registration, how-to guides, promotional resources and even touch-free PayPal QR code payments, its garage sales made easy for sellers over two big weekends.
“We expect to have more than 70 garage sales happen locally and another 10,000 around the nation.
“More sales means more bargains and there really will be something for everyone: designer fashion, mid-century furniture, cookware, vinyl, kids’ stuff, tools and more.”
Before the sale weekends there will be a series of online talks featuring an all star cast of experts and familiar faces sharing their sustainable living tips that are kind on both planet and pocket.
Featuring presenters Barry du Bois and Veronica Milsom — alongside experts in secondhand selling, styling and the circular economy — the Trail Tutorials are hosted online and are free to attend.
“Shopping aside, the Garage Sale Trail program is free for residents thanks to the support of Yorke Peninsula Council,” Mr Braund said.
