Yorke Peninsula Council is ready to reboot its popular YorKON Games Convention after a pause due to Covid-19.
The event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 23-24, returning after a hiatus due to Covid-19 restrictions.
YorKON provides the local community, especially young people and their families, with the unique opportunity to engage in a fun and free social games event.
The two-day convention includes free play computer and retro games, arcade games, workshops, tournaments, table top games and a costume-making competition.
This year Maitland Markets will jump on board on Saturday, treating attendees to a range of local art, delicious food, produce, food, jewellery, crafts and more.
The Saturday event will be held from 11am until 7pm while Sunday will be from 10am until 3pm both at the Maitland Town Hall and Maitland Information Centre.
YorKON Games Convention is for all ages, with the exception of a secure 15+ session (content rated as PG and M classifications), to be held on both days.
Partners include Team AvCon, Copper Coast Table Top Gamers, Retrospekt, Little Adventurers and Southern Dewback Garrison – 501st Legion, Cold Creature Art, Ben’s IT Communications, Nankivell IT and Maitland and District Progress Association.
Yorke Solar are also on board to super circuit the event.
